Title: Lympha (Dummy book short-listed at Belfast Photo Festival 2022)
Plants have always been a central source of inspiration for my personal work, deeply rooted in my childhood spent amidst the natural landscapes of southern Switzerland, where I wandered through the woods around my home and embarked on long hikes with my father and friends.
As the years passed, my reflections on the co-existence of people and plants inspired me to begin a photographic narrative surrounding historical and evolutionary facts about plants. This project, shaped by a mix of observation, fantasy, and historical context, seeks to provoke contemplation about the current state of the environment. It aims to explore the factors that have ushered us into the Anthropocene epoch, a geological era defined by significant human impact on planet Earth.
